Smooth and absolutely lovely on snow, sensational grip. Great feel of safety on wet roads. Used to drive with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter-tyres which are great too however these GoodYear UltraGrip Performance + winter-tyres are a new level of tyres.

I drive an automatic which is terrible for grip with only the slightest snowfall, and I&rsquo;m very cautious in sub zero icy weather. However with the UltraGrip Performance + tyres I was full of confidence every time I drove in sub zero weather conditions. Breaking distances were further than summer tyres, as expected, but nothing to worry about. Car performance was very good and fuel consumption while motorway cruising was better than summer tyres! There was no snowfall this year so I cannot comment.

Tyres have lasted 30000km on rear and 25000km on front wheels of 4x4. Have used them year-round because UK temperatures allow this. 3% increase in fuel consumption compared with lower profile summer wheels and tyres. Higher noise than summer tyres. Excellent durability. No issues with edge wear being the limiting factor on tyre life. Lasted 30% longer then Pirellis.

These winter tyres/wheels are on the vehicle from November through to March. The vehicle feels safe and secure to drive in any weather conditions, including when away skiing in the French Alps.
