I&#39;ve used Sottozero on the car for 9 years, and found them all to be excellent, providing road security over the winter in the UK

This is an excellent tyre, first class grip in snow and ice and also works very well in the summer, although I believe this is not recommended.

Great tyres , good all round grip, as I live in Scotland the seasons change every 5mins, with plenty of rain &amp; the odd bit of snow , I do some off road driving and never got the car stuck, I do run this type of tyre all year round , but as the car is quite light I always change my tyres when they get down to 3mm , I think this is far safer ,

The tyres perform unbelievably well. Braking and grip in the wet is just phenomenal. Outstanding performance. Superb and consistent grip in heavy persistent rain along French motorway to the UK, long and short journeys.

I went for the BMW approved (star marked) Blizzak and I&rsquo;m very happy with the tyres. I&rsquo;ve had Conti Winter Contact on previous cars and in regular use I would say the Blizzak is very comparable. The car retains decent steering feel and traction on wet and dry roads plus offers a far greater level of grip on snow/slush over a regular tyre. Ride comfort seems pretty much unchanged, as always with winters there is a little more noise but it&rsquo;s slight and after 5 minutes you don&rsquo;t notice! Fuel consumption does increase very slightly over the summer tyres BUT that could be down to the cold weather as much as the tyres!

I bought these so that I wouldn&#39;t have any mishaps during the winter in my beloved car. I was worried that it would be a nightmare to drive in the snow due to being rear wheel drive and its power. I put these tyres on the front and different winter tyres on the rear and never had any problems at all - very surprised and impressed!

These tyres have been superb. The grip in wet and snowy conditions even in a rear wheel drive car has been nothing short of exceptional. They feel good and give you the confidence in even the worst conditions that you can turn into corners and stop in a consistent manner. I&#39;ve pulled away on hills in snow and not had any wheelspin at all. Only downside is they can be a little noisy but this is hardly noticeable and is a comparison with a summer tyre so not entirely fair.

Compared with my previous Michelins, and the Pirelli summer tyres, these disappoint. No confidence in the snow and they felt unnatached in the wet.

I would like to say that these tyres saved our bacon this winter. We had lots of snow and ice over January and February this year and the tyres never lost an ounce of grip. Even when others were stuck and lost in snow drifts, the Scout got through. I was concerned about the wear of the tyres (bring softer than summet tyres but there was little wear showing on the Winter Tyres). Highly recommended for high speed road driving or off-road snowdrifts!

Smooth and absolutely lovely on snow, sensational grip. Great feel of safety on wet roads. Used to drive with Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter-tyres which are great too however these GoodYear UltraGrip Performance + winter-tyres are a new level of tyres.

I drive an automatic which is terrible for grip with only the slightest snowfall, and I&rsquo;m very cautious in sub zero icy weather. However with the UltraGrip Performance + tyres I was full of confidence every time I drove in sub zero weather conditions. Breaking distances were further than summer tyres, as expected, but nothing to worry about. Car performance was very good and fuel consumption while motorway cruising was better than summer tyres! There was no snowfall this year so I cannot comment.
